ABOUT EDWIN

Formed by Faith. Strengthened by Discipline. Called to Lead.

Edwin Omar Flores Vera is a Hispanic Pentecostal minister in the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee, a teacher, and a leadership developer with more than twenty-five years of ministry experience. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, he was formed within the Pentecostal movement from an early age and later moved to Massachusetts, where his life, family, and ministry continued to take shape.

He serves as an assistant pastor in a Hispanic Church of God congregation in Salem, Massachusetts, alongside his wife, Helga Flores. Together, they have served faithfully in ministry, family life, and the formation of leaders within the local church. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Giselle and Ashley Flores.

In addition to his pastoral ministry, Edwin has taught theology, biblical studies, leadership, ethics, homiletics, and ministry courses through the Hispanic Bible Institute of the Church of God in the New England Region. His passion is to equip Hispanic Pentecostal leaders with biblical conviction, spiritual maturity, practical wisdom, and Christlike character.

Edwin is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, where he served for six years in the infantry. His military experience shaped his understanding of discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and leadership by example—principles that continue to influence his approach to ministry and leadership formation.

He earned a Diploma in Wesleyan-Pentecostal Ministry from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary and a Master of Divinity in Ministry from Kairos University. He is currently a Doctor of Ministry candidate at Kairos University. His academic and ministerial work focuses on leadership, character formation, and the development of exemplary leaders within the Hispanic Pentecostal context.

Through his writing, teaching, and pastoral ministry, Edwin seeks to call leaders back to the biblical foundation of Christian leadership: a life formed by the Holy Spirit, rooted in integrity, and demonstrated through faithful example.

MY MISSION

Why I Write

My mission as an author is to strengthen Christian leaders by calling them back to what matters most: a life shaped by the Holy Spirit and a character that reflects Christ.

I write from more than twenty-five years of ministry experience, theological study, pastoral leadership, teaching, and six years of service in the United States Marine Corps. Across each of these settings, I have learned that lasting leadership is not built on titles, talent, or visibility. It is built on integrity, discipline, faithfulness, spiritual maturity, and a life that leads by example.

Through my books, teaching, and ministry, I want to help leaders grow from the inside out, remain faithful under pressure, and serve others with humility, wisdom, and Christlike character.

BUILT FOR LEADERSHIP FORMATION

Biblically Grounded

Each book draws leadership principles from Scripture and places the fruit of the Spirit at the center of Christian leadership.

Practical for Ministry

The lessons connect spiritual formation with real leadership challenges, including pressure, conflict, discipline, responsibility, endurance, and personal integrity.

Created to Develop Leaders

Edwin’s work is written to help pastors, ministry leaders, students, and emerging leaders examine their character and grow in faithful, Spirit-led leadership.

These books carry one central conviction: Christian leadership begins within. Before a leader can influence others well, his or her own life must first be formed by Christ.
